F & W Properties is owned by The Fisher Family, and has been in business since 1969. We are a family run business that takes pride in providing safe and affordable housing to our residents. Our current portfolio consists of over 850 rental units in the Central Ohio area, and over 400 rental units in Indianapolis. We have a long history of acquiring properties that are in various states of disrepair, mismanaged, turning them around and holding them.

We own everything we manage, and the majority of day to day maintenance and capital improvements are completed by our in-house maintenance teams. Our office staff has a combined experience of 62 years. We are active members of the Columbus Apartment Association, with 2 seats on the Board of Trustees, and a former chair person of the Crime Reduction Committee and a seat on the Legislative Committee. F & W has also been recognized by the National Apartment Association in an article published on our "Get Tough" policy against any of our residents that are engaged in illegal activity. We work closely with the community and our residents to encourage them to take pride in their home and part of that is to work with us to monitor the community closely and keep it safe and free of crime. It is the kind of partnership that makes crime prevention a winning proposition for property management and residents, and creates a desirable community.

We have been involved in multiple "turn around" projects in our many years of experience and operation. Most notably, a 200 unit, 12 building complex on the Near East Side of Columbus, was purchased in 1987 with only 25 paying residents. Within 18 months the renovation of the complex was substantially completed and we continue to own and operate this. We understand the priorities and dedication that is required to take a non-functioning property and create a long term viable asset.
